Evaluation

ECHA asks registrants to show how they considered alternative methods before consulting on testing proposals

To further ensure that testing on animals is only done as a last resort, ECHA has started requesting additional information from registrants who submit new testing proposals for vertebrate animal tests. This follows the European Ombudsman's recent decision about ECHA's role in evaluating testing proposals.

Are you planning to export PIC chemicals in 2016? Notify your intentions now

Remember to submit your notifications for 2016 exports as soon as possible so that national EU authorities and ECHA have enough time to process them. By notifying early enough, you will be less likely to experience delays with your exports.

When preparing your notification, we ask you to provide more detailed information about the importer. For example, up-to-date contact details with a full street address will help the authorities in the receiving country process your notification faster.

REACH 2018 webinar: Find your co-registrants and prepare to work together

18 November 2015, 11:00 - 12:00, Helsinki time

Does your company have previous experience of registering chemicals under the REACH Regulation? If not, this webinar is for you. We will show you how to retrieve your pre-registrations in REACH-IT and check if your substance has been already registered. You will learn how to find the companies you need to work with to register jointly. You will also get tips on how to start cooperating in a substance information exchange forum (SIEF). A Q&A session at the end of the webinar will address any outstanding issues related to the topic. This is the second webinar of a series focusing on practical information to successfully register by the deadline of 31 May 2018.
